CTN Expo

The CTN Expo was this weekend in Burbank, Ca. I got to go with a few friends and it was pretty cool. They had studios there to review portfolios as well as give you feedback. Although I didn't get my portfolio reviewed, it was still a cool experience and gives me some idea of what to do and look forward to next year.

Luckily, I was able to meet one of my favorite artists, Brittney Lee. Originally I thought about commissioning her to do a piece, but picked something up at the expo instead. I love her work and how she combines the ideas of animation/character/storytelling with paper work. The following is the piece I got from her. Really beautiful stuff.

Call for Entries

For my Digital Life class midterm, we were assigned to do a poster of some sort. I choose to do the option of a Society of Illustrators call for entries poster.

My concept was to do the Pied Piper 'calling' all animals together just like the call for entries flyers gather artists together.

This is the poster when you first view it.

It then unfolds into this long procession.

Landscape Paintings

Here are some landscape paintings I did over the course of the semester.
